We are currently collecting data on the numbers of midwives – practising and non practising, student midwives, as well as those thinking of joining our profession - to build a consensus that this is a viable option for the future of midwifery in the 21st century and to demonstrate that there is a real desire to provide midwifery care in a humane and holistic way.
