From May 2007, following the official launch of the independent midwives campaign to find a solution to the insurance problems they faced, press coverage was amazing.
The vast majority of it was accurate, informative and supportive. While our approach and aims have now changed, we are very proud of how quickly and enthusiastically our members and supporters got to work in raising public and political awareness of our situation.
Woman having babies are like tigers protecting their young and the midwives that help them can be equally as strong and unbreakable when they need to be.
We will keep all the publicity in our archive so that when the going gets tough we can re visit and remind ourselves how strong we can be.
