Breaking News:Independent Midwives and contracting into the NHS
Although Independent Midwives UK are delighted with the progress we have made so far, we recognize we are only just at the beginning of a long journey. Reports in the press that we are on the verge of solving the insurance issue through contracting in is premature. We are working hard to develop the infrastructure and systems we will need to be able to offer our services to women through local PCT's but recognize that this will take considerable time before it might be available.
