This Government has made a commitment that by the end of 2009 ‘every woman will be supported by a midwife she knows and trusts throughout her pregnancy and after birth’.
The PCT can help to make this a reality:
- By ensuring that women have direct access to community caseload midwifery and homebirth as promised in the ‘Maternity Matters’ report.
- By commissioning the services of local independent midwives to offer individualized, woman focused care.
We want to demonstrate that this is the type of service women in your area want and need. So if you would like to be able to choose your midwife, get to know and trust her, have plenty of time during appointments and know she will be with you when you give birth in the place of your choice please fill in the form below.
